Little Rock, Arkansas (Grassroots Newswire) March 27, 2009 -- EXIT Realty Deaton Group will host their 2nd annual Golf Tournament on Tuesday, April 21 at The Country Club of Arkansas in Maumelle. The tournament will benefit the Genetics Research Department at Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Shotgun start time is 1 pm and lunch for all registered players begins at 11:30 am. Registration is $100 per player or $400 per team and cash prizes will be given to players in the top three teams in each flight. Prizes will be awarded for longest drive and closest to the pin. A number of sponsorships are available all a variety of levels.

The tournament, now in its second year, began as a way to give back to the community and raise awareness for Landau-Kleffner Syndrome.

Jim Mazziotti, the principal broker and franchise owner of EXIT Realty Bend, saw an opportunity to do something, that to his knowledge, had never been done before in the United States.  "I believe this event was huge for our industry and how we communicate with buyers, sellers and our clients,"  Mazziotti told Joanne Caruth, Regional Owner, EXIT Realty of Oregon.  He was referring to the first ever LIVE Ustream.tv 56 Hour Open House that was presented beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13^th and ran continuously to Sunday, March 15^th at 6:00p.m.

"We were live on Ustream for 56 hours and 14 minutes," said Mazziotti. Using the Ustream.tv  internet platform, Mazziotti and twelve of his EXIT agents, numerous event preferred partners and event sponsors presented a continuous flow of presentations related to real estate. "We asked preferred partners that we believe in, and work with everyday, to join us to tell their story and share in this special event. We asked a home inspector, lenders, a contractor and other professionals to open up their world to our internet audience, and they did a great job," he said.

In a recent interview on the Real Estate Now Radio Show with Ric Giumenta of EXIT Realty First Choice, Tami Bonnell, President of the US Organization of EXIT Realty Corp. International was optimistic about the real estate forecast:  

As President, part of my job is to pay attention to economic indicators, not just in the real estate industry but outside industries.  I pay attention to economists across the country and other companies but then I also go back and look at where the stats are for the National Association of REALTORS® which is the largest collected group of professionals representing the real estate industry.  There are some indicators with NAR® and with individual boards that we can follow too.

Starting with the economists, we've been tracking and staying in touch with them long before the markets shifted because real estate always goes through cycles.  Everyone expects that overall, through the entire country, this economy will bottom out and start heading in an upward turn right around June or July.  Typically in a recession, real estate is "first in and first out" so they go into it before anybody else feels the heat and are feeling that pinch before any other industry does, but thankfully they come out of it sooner too.  So when we look at national indicators we see that right now, across the country, in most markets, there are fewer days-on-market for real estate transactions and there is less inventory in a number of those markets.  What that tells us is we're starting to see a shift and there could not be a better time for purchasing real estate than when those shifts start to occur.
